In compliance with the resolution of the judiciary, Lima Expresa restarts the works for the replacement of the toll plaza of Separadora Industrial.

11 March 2022

With regard to the project to replace the toll booths at the Separadora Industrial and the acts of obstruction by the Municipality of La Molina, we hereby inform you:

In view of the acts of vandalism led by the Municipality of La Molina on Monday 7 March in our toll plaza of Separadora Industrial, Lima Expresa appealed to the Judiciary to enforce compliance with its decision. As a result, today, 11 March, the works to replace the toll booths will begin again, with the intervention of the Judiciary and the Peruvian National Police, who will jointly ensure compliance with the court order.

Thus, the Judiciary recognised the right of Lima Expresa to replace the toll booths located at Separadora Industrial and Vía de Evitamiento, and the right to charge the current rate for using this road infrastructure.

The toll charge for exiting through Av. Separadora Industrial, from Vía de Evitamiento, has been in place since before 2009, long before Lima Expresa took over the road concession. Lima Expresa is only replacing something that already existed.

The Municipality of La Molina is carrying out unauthorised work in the Lima Expresa concession area and in areas where the Municipality of Lima has jurisdiction.

The Municipality of La Molina is carrying out unauthorised work in the Lima Expresa concession area and in areas under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Lima.

The actions of the Municipality of La Molina endanger the safety and integrity of drivers, our collaborators, as well as school children, as the construction of the new lane on which the municipality is working not only does not respect the minimum technical conditions, but also affects electrical connections at its bases, diverts the course of the irrigation channel, all of which is adjacent to the wall of the FAP José Abelardo Quiñones School. Therefore, the Municipality of La Molina should be held responsible for its actions and omissions.

Lima Expresa urges the Municipality of La Molina to cease its obstructionist actions. The company has taken appropriate legal action to safeguard its rights and against those responsible for unlawful actions. All officials involved will be held civilly, administratively and criminally liable, as appropriate.
