Lima Expresa mobilises relief and road maintenance teams due to trailer overturning on Via de Evitamiento, southbound, and recommends drivers to take precautions

Lima Expresa, a subsidiary of VINCI Highways and concessionaire of the Via de Evitamiento and the Linea Amarilla expressway, informs its customers and users travelling southbound on the Via de Evitamiento that, due to the overturning of a large vehicle, which occurred at 14:19 at the Ricardo Palma bridge (Cercado de Lima), one lane - of the three that exist at this point on the Via de Evitamiento - is closed.

The larger vehicle involved in the accident was carrying a container which collided with the Ricardo Palma bridge, causing damage to its structure, as well as the detachment of cables from the bridge, thus causing the container to fall onto the Via de Evitamiento.

Lima Expresa mobilised its road rescue team to tow the container to a safe area and provide a rapid solution for drivers.

Lima Expresa is currently coordinating with EMAPE, which manages the Ricardo Palma bridge, to cut the loose cables that are preventing normal traffic.

Drivers are advised to take precautions because there is restricted access in the southbound direction on the Via de Evitamiento and to get information through Lima Expresa's social networks and its customer service centre 0800 200 80.
