The temporary closure of the road will be on Monday, February 28th, 2022, from 00:30 to 03:30

Lima Expresa informs that this Monday, February 28th at 00:30, it will carry out a three- hour hazardous waste spill drill in the Lima Expresa tunnel on the Yellow Line express road, to ensure correct action in the event of an emergency.

During the exercise, the access roads to the Yellow Line expressway will remain closed. Drivers are suggested to take appropriate precautions and use alternative routes such as the Avoidance Route.

The drill will represent a gasoline spill in the tunnel and will activate the emergency protocols to deal with the incident, including the closure and evacuation of the tunnel, the containment of the spill, and the release and enabling of the tunnel. Lima Expresa has invited the Volunteer Fire Company of Peru and Invermet to participate.

This type of drill is part of the Annual Infrastructure Preservation and Maintenance Plan, and will allow Lima Expresa to test the special systems, equipment and protocols to respond to an emergency.
